DRC: The Tony Emumelu Foundation meets young entrepreneurs in Kinshasa
The auditorium of the Kempinski Hotel Fleuve Congo served as the setting for the interactive meeting organized by the Tony Elumelu Foundation on Thursday, May 2, 2019.
During this meeting, the CEO of the said foundation, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu, initially focused her speech on the presentation of the Tony Elumelu Foundation’s entrepreneurial program, which is very committed to the success of African entrepreneurs.
So, for 5 years now, project leaders have been applying and being selected all over Africa to participate in this program and benefit in particular from $5,000 (non-refundable) as seed capital.
« This program is not only limited to financing but goes far beyond that with training, mentoring…, a whole new adventure that begins for each project leader. « Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu
This led him to focus the second part of his speech on motivating the entrepreneurs present, calling on them to transform the problems of their communities into opportunities while thinking big and reaching out to more people.
« The world must feel that Africa is moving. There is no better time than now to be an African entrepreneur. « Ifeyinwa Ugochukwu
This was followed by an interactive session where participants could ask questions about the Tony Elumelu Foundation, but also about their projects, difficulties and success stories.
A group photo and a moment of networking closed this activity organized on the sidelines of the stay in Kinshasa of the initiator of the said foundation, the billionaire Tony Elumelu, who was received on the same Thursday, May 02, 2019, by the President of the DR Congo, Felix Antoine Tshisekedi.
